Blind Tasting & Quiz Events
Blind tasting and quiz events are a great event for a corporate get together. Whether it be with clients of just staff, it's a good way to break the ice and encourage fun and participation.
A typical event rundown
- Guests arrive and are greeted with a glass of champagne to mingle.
- Event starts and introduction made by the wine presenter about the evening (an the company if required)
- Discover your tongue demonstration: learn what taste buds pick up what senses
- Blind tasting and quiz questions: See the different formats below
- 5-6 different wines are tasted and sometimes cheese or chocolate are matched with the wines
- Prizes are given to winners
Different types of blind Tasting events
1. Stand up networking event: All wines are tasted blind. Guests have multiple choice to choose the vintage, variety and region. Prizes for the winner.
2. Stand up networking event: Only 1 wine out of the 5 tasted is blind tasting. Guests have multiple choice to choose the vintage, variety and region. Fun Quiz questions and prizes
3. Stand up networking event: 3 new world wines are compared to 3 old world wines. Wines are tasted in pairs and guests vote on their favorite before being told what the wine is.
4. Sit down intimate tasting: Guests are seated with all 6 glassed on a special placemat in front of them. All wines are tasted blind and guests fill out a form with their answers to the blind tasting and quiz questions. The winner is the best of 5 tastings.
